A leading school of education in an Ivy League university, Penn GSE is located right in the middle of one of the nation's most vibrant urban centers. How are we working to improve education in Philadelphia and the region? 

Our degree programs prepare a great many teachers, mental health professionals and leaders for work in local schools.

But we're also directly involved in the management of several West Philly schools, we run a broad range of leadership and professional development initiatives for local educators, and we use our strength in research to address important challenges in the region through a number of applied research projects.
